Author: T.J. Manrique
Born in Venezuela, T.J. Manrique got his B.Sc. in Biochemistry from UCLA and his M.Sc. in Pharmacology from University of the Pacific. He worked in medical supplies for over thirty-five years, but always wanted to write novels.
In the late ’60s, Manrique discovered Star Trek and started a torrid love affair with the Science Fiction genre. Watching Star Trek TOS in black-and-white was a staple of his weekends and the inspiration for going into Biochemistry. He wanted to study Space Medicine, but he soon discovered he was, in fact, not Spock or Bones McCoy. Elated when TNG came out, he was one of the Trekkies who actually loved the new take on the Star Trek universe. Ever since, he has enjoyed each and every Star Trek series and movie.
Manrique now lives in Orlando, Florida, with his wife, their youngest of two daughters, and all the characters that populate his novels. So far, he has published novels in two genres — Science Fiction and Horror/Humor — and has written one writing craft book. He runs an author website at www.tjmanrique.com.
