The second season of Star Trek: Picard has come to an end and it’s time to bid farewell to a few actors from the series. (Don’t worry – Sir Patrick Stewart isn’t going anywhere. The show is called Star Trek: Picard after all!)

When the season finale “Farewell” was released on Paramount+ this Thursday, Santiago Cabrera (Cristobal Rios) announced on his Instagram that making the series had been “a hell of a ride.” Although this wasn’t specifically a “goodbye” message, Cabrera joined the cast of HBO’s The Flight Attendant in September 2021, which was filming at the same time as Picard Season 3. Also, he is the only departing cast member who has been written out of the show, with Rios bidding Picard and crew farewell in the second season finale.

Alison Pill (Agnes Jurati/Borg Queen), recently speaking with movieweb.com, revealed that she will not be in Picard‘s third season. Pill said, “I know that Season 3 will be the end. I wasn’t a part of Season 3, so I don’t have much to say about it in terms of spoilers. I will get to watch along with everybody else.

Evan Evagora (Elnor) announced on his Instagram this Thursday that he is also exiting the series. He shared a behind-the-scenes photo of him, Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and Patrick Stewart (Picard) from the second season finale.

While it’s plausible that any of these cast members could make a quick cameo, at the time of this writing it is unclear if Isa Briones will be returning as well, having had a limited role as Soji Asha in the Season 2 premiere and Kore Soong in four episodes of the second season. From the current cast, only Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd have made public comments that they will be returning for the final journey of Picard, along with the rest of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
